Includes: Short but rigorous hikes, Swim options, Waterfalls, River, Creeks, Picnic Spots, Immersion to experience all of it!

Alfred, Douglas, & Kennedy Falls Rigorous Hike & Swim along the Blackwater Canyon. Swimming and getting wet not required.
Spring / Summer / Fall only during non-snow and non-ice conditions.
This excursion runs around 4 hours requires that all guests and pets be up for some more rigorous hiking challenging including steep stairs and steep trails and rocky terrain. For those who wish to skip the more challenging parts, there is still plenty for you to see and do and enjoy while waiting for the others to return.
Further, we can explore the blackwater canyon from in the water and along trails that lead around larger waterfalls if the water levels aren't too high and the group is up for the challenge.
This excursion is great during dryer / warmer months in summer when many waterfalls dry up... but not these waterfalls or swim holes fueled by the Blackwater River.
We will also stop at the Douglas (Coketon) coke ovens along the way for a bit of history of Douglas and the coal era of Thomas's past.
