Big Run / Olson Fire Tower

Off Rt. 219 between Thomas and Parsons in the Monongahela National Forest

In a section of the Monongahela National forest not far from Thomas is a spectacular waterfall called Big Run and a 100+ foot high climbable tower called Olson Fire Tower.   ​

The walk to Big Run does involve about a 10 minute hike each way after parking and requires a bit of endurance.  Olson Tower is accessible at a parking area right next to the climbable tower which soars over the valleys in the distant from the top tier.
